 The Rico Pallotta Innovation Grants
Two Annual $1000.00 Project Awards

 

Announcement
 

The Board of Trustees of the American Re-EDucation Association annually offers two Rico Pallotta Innovation Grants in the amount of $1000.00 each.  The AREA board has opened the process to any active member of the association, which means that our affiliate members are now eligible to apply for the grants.  We are now considering applications for the fourth annual award of the Rico Pallotta Innovation Grants.  Two grants of up to $1000.00 each will be made for the support of projects or activities related to the principles and practices of Re-ED.

 

Eligibility

 

Applicants must be on staff of an active Associate or Sponsoring Agency member or Affiliate members of AREA in good standing.

 

Requirements of Recipient

 

Grant recipients will submit a closing project/activity report to the AREA Board of Trustees at the conclusion of their project.  The deadline for the report will be determined at the time of the award and must be submitted no later than one year after the grant is received.  Reports will be submitted in such a manner as they can be used for publication in AREA News.  The Board of Trustees reserves the right to request a simple financial report of the $1000.00 expenditure.  If requested, the recipient agrees to provide such a report within 30 days.

 

Review and Decision Making Process

 

The Secretary/Treasurer of the AREA Board of Trustees will chair a committee to consider grant applications. 

 

Deadline

 

There is no deadline for submission of applications.  The committee will consider applications as they are submitted and make award decisions on a quarterly basis.  Award winners will be notified immediately after the award determination is made.  Two awards will be made in each fiscal year.  Applications of particular merit may be considered upon approval of the AREA Board.  Progress of the Rico Pallotta Innovation Grant process will be highlighted on the AREA web site.
